INC to Stage the Largest Worldwide Walk for Yolanda(Haiyan) Survivors

Unconfirmed logo and design of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Worldwide Walk

Iglesia Ni Cristo, one of the Philippines most influential religious organization will organize the largest and biggest worldwide walk for a cause for Yolanda/Haiyan victims and survivors on February 15, 2014.

According to sources, the said event will be held simultaneously in different simultaneously in key cities and locations in the Philippines and the world.

For Filipinos in Metro Manila, you can participate by going to Luneta Park. Registration fee for this event is Php 250. The said amount will support projects and activities for the Haiyan (Yolanda victims). For participants, you will receive limited edition shirt and other items from the organizers.

Eagle Broadcasting, the TV and radio station operated by Iglesia Ni Cristo, revealed that the 85 sites are already been prepared for the “INC World Wide Walk For Those Affected by Typhoon Haiyan” in the Philippines.

It has also identified 6 cities in Europe, 7 locations in Australia, 8 in Asia, and 34 locations in the United States of America.

Alliance of Computer Techonology and Information Volunteers (ACTIV) will also publicize the event through technology and social media.

Call To Action: There are Around 4 Million Filipinos that Needs help

In another published video via Facebook Page, Iglesia Ni Cristo spokesperson Edwin Zabala explained the reasons why the Iglesia Ni Cristo is staging the Worldwide Walk.

According to INC Minister Zabala, the event aims to raise funds for the ongoing livelihood and housing projects Iglesia Ni Cristo is currently implementing in the Typhoon Yolanda affected areas.

Futhermore, Zabala explained that there are still around 4 million Filipinos that needs rehabilitation assistance. With the Worldwide Walk and the help of Guinness World of Records, INC hopes to further amplify the message to the world that there are still millions of Filipinos is need of assistance.
